I hesitated for a long time on this dress. I thought this dress looked too much like an Easter picnic dress that I worried I would be limited to where I could wear the dress. There's also the fact that the light blue floral print kind of reminded me of the ubiquitous pastel watercolors that adorned the walls of all the Holiday Inns back in the 80's.
But the price, which today was slashed from $158.00 to around $40.00, was too alluring to resist. Before I knew it, I had put the dress in my basket and paid for it.
In the end, I am glad I got the dress. It is a very pretty dress to wear on vacation to the seaside, with a large white brim hat and a straw bag. I tried working it into my office outfits too by putting a white blazer over it, and matching it with pearl strands and beige pumps. It was acceptable, even if I did slightly feel the outfit belonged more to a real estate agent in a resort town than to someone who worked in a conservative office.
