Sometimes I wish my birthday fell after the season changes, or around a major shopping day such as Black Friday. Wouldn't it be amazing to get a birthday discount from retailers on top of the sale prices?
Instead, my birthday is right in the middle of summer. The spring sales have already long passed, while the summer things are usually still full price or only a tepid 15% to 20% off. Also, summer things are usually not that expensive. After all, how much does a tee shirt really cost anyway? By the time I use my birthday coupons I may get, what, around five dollars off my purchase. If my birthday was in mid January, imagine how much I could save using my birthday discounts on all the winter coats during the after Christmas sales!
Now that I got that grumbling out of my system, let's talk about what I got with my 15% off birthday discount from Anthropologie. For the longest time, I wanted a skirt or a dress with birds, so my birthday discount came in handy this year. The skirt was almost half off right now, and with my birthday discount, it came out to just a little over $40.00.
The skirt is a very peach color with teal birds throughout the skirt. The print is a bit in the pop-art style, but with much more muted colors. It is not lined, which really bothered me. Even at the sale price, I expected that it would be lined. I couldn't imagine buying the skirt at full price without the lining.
