What drew me to this piece was the collection of deep blue stones on the cuff. There are clear faceted stones, opaque faceted stones, round polished stones, and smooth marbled stones. The stones are set in a gold frame and interspersed with crystals. The gold and different stone textures all subtlely juxtopose with each other, and the final effect is a design that has a bit medieval feel to it.
Being such a statement piece, I don't think I will wear this with anything too complicated. In fact, I was wearing jeans and an unadorned 3/4 sleeve cardigan when I tried on this cuff. The cuff popped against my simple outfit and elevated it into something stylish but casual. However, when I tried the cuff with a patterned dress in the store, the look instantly became messy and garish.
I used part of my $10 birthday certificate from White House Black Market for this cuff. With my 5% Black Book Member discount, the final price came out to $28.24 plus tax.
