Dole Whip

I recently discovered this sweet treat through Pinterest. It is called Dole Whip and it is found at certain places within Disneyland and DisneyWorld. By viewing the photo I could tell it is a killer combination. I searched several recipes and found some similarities. When in new territory I like to view several recipes to get a basic idea and then try it out for myself, creating as I go.
Here is how I made it:

Dole Pineapple Ice Cream:
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1/3 Cup White Granulated Sugar
1 6oz. can Dole Pineapple Juice
1 Teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice

Whisk together the ingredients until sugar dissolves and it becomes frothy.

Refrigerate until well chilled and transfer to your ice cream maker and make according to its directions.

To assemble the Dole Whip, pipe some of the soft pineapple ice cream into the bottom of a cup. Pour pineapple juice over the ice cream until it nearly reaches the top of the rim. Pipe fresh whipped cream on top and enjoy!

It is every bit of creamy, tangy, and smooth I imagined it to be. The ice cream turned out beautifully!
