I have to admit, I was a teeny bit hesitant when hitting the checkout button when I purchased this shell online a few weeks ago without having previously seen it or tried it on in person. But the embroidery was quite breathtaking, so I thought I'd take a chance and order it. Besides, one thing I really like about White House Black Market is that they don't charge shipping on purchases made by Black Book members such as myself. So, I reasoned I'm trying this on for free in the comfort of my own home, and if I didn't like it when I received it, I could always return it to a nearby brick-and-mortar store.

As of right now, I'm still debating whether to keep it.

I want to keep it because the shell arrived as lovely as I anticipated. It adds a interesting detail if worn under a business suit jacket, but is also gorgeous enough to stand on its own when paired with a simple skirt for an evening out.

However, there is the annoying fact that the shell is 100% polyester and not as comfortable as something made from natural fibers.

The saving grace of the polyester fabric is that the shell is pretty stiff, meaning it holds its structure very well on someone with a larger chest size.

The bad news about having a stiff structured top is that there is no wiggle room if I should gain so much as an extra ounce of weight.

Then again, I got this shell on what was probably last clearance, so it was a fantastic price even for something polyester.

On the other hand, if I gain any weight, a very likely scenerio if I become pregnant again (which is what DH and I are trying for right now), what's the point of getting this at a great price if I can't fit into it in the future?

Still, why can't I just enjoy the top while I can wear it now instead of worrying about gaining any hypothetical weight?

See what I mean, I'm arguing both sides of the debate so much that I can't figure out what I want.
