My Weekend

Friday I drove up to my friend Maggie's house so we could catch up and let our best freind daughter's have some playtime. Mag introduced me to the "orange julius" last year. I came up with my own version of it and brought up the ingredients to make us one.

She cut me some fresh lavender from her sea of lavendar plants she has in the front yard. Talk about fragrance! Wow! The wonderful smell hits you as soon as you open the car door.

I brought home the fresh cut lavender and flowers she cut and put them in my kitchen to enjoy!

We also went to Old Town, although I think that was on Thursday. I tried out the Caramel Latte from the Old Town San Diego Coffee and Tea store. They have wonderful samples of cold tea and I am thinking of trying it out at home. I am not a cold tea person but I would like to give it a shot.

Alexa panning for gems. She found a lot of pretty rocks and pyrite in her pan and it only costs $4.00 at the gem store.

Saturday morning I decided to go to Target for a few grocery items and some white crates for the pantry. I am wearing my Merona (from Target) sandals and chambray dress and a Tory Burch bag.. Both Target items are still available in stores. Love. Love. Pocket Dresses!

Saturday morning I decided it was time to tidy up the pantry but that turned into emptying the pantry entirely and painting the shelves....? I know. I had a neurotic moment.

About those white crates. I had teal ones from last summer in my pantry but decided I liked the clean look of the white better hence my trip to Target. The durable plastic crates are only $3.49 each. I can use the teal ones in the garage for storage which I desperately need anyways.

Cleaning out the pantry allowed me to rearrange everything including the dishes.

Instead of tossing the onions into the corner like before, I set them neatly on a plate so I can see what I have. I found some really bad red onions that rolled behind my mixing bowls when I cleaned out the pantry this morning. Not cool.

I need to do a Trader Joes run, but this is what it looked like when I was done. Whew! It was worth it. That was my exciting weekend. Not really exciting at all, but thought I would share.
